The Town's Short Term Accommodation (STA) Licensing By-law provides a system for the licensing of STA premises (premises rented on a basis of 30 consecutive days or less).

There are specific areas of the Town that are zoned to allow for licenced Short Term Accommodation use.
STA use does not include a motel, hotel, bed and breakfast establishment, tourist cabin or cottage, hospital, commercial resort unit, village commercial resort unit or similar commercial or institutional use.
