Northwinds Beach Washrooms and Launch Ramp will be Closed from September 15 to November 16, 2018

Please be advised that Northwinds Launch Ramp and Washrooms will be closed from September 15 to November 16, 2018.

The purpose of the closure is to accommodate upgrading the Craigleith Ski Club snowmaking system.  Construction is anticipated to start September 15th and continue until November 16th with no access, other than for emergency vehicles, to the Northwinds Beach boat launch and washrooms.

We apologize for the inconvenience and are providing portable toilets at Northwinds Beach as well as free access to the boat launch ramp at the Thornbury Harbour during the closure.

Residents who are supplied with Municipal water, please be advised that the annual flushing of fire hydrants and water mains is currently underway.

This is a routine maintenance procedure carried out in the Spring and Fall to ensure proper fire hydrant operation and water quality throughout the water distribution system. Lower water pressure due to hydrant flushing may be experienced in some areas.

Minor water discolouration may occur periodically and can be rectified by letting faucets run until clear.
