The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to notify residents about the available options when your waste collection day is missed due to inclement weather. If your collection day is missed, you have the following two options:

  • Wait until your next collection day and place double the usual limit
  • Drop off curbside waste at the Town Waste Disposal Site for FREE

Did you know that the Town offers a Waste Resource App for both Apple and Android Smartphones? Visit the app store and search for “TBM Waste Resource” to receive updates and service disruption notifications.

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to notify residents that 2019 Dog Licences are now available. The Town of The Blue Mountains requires all dogs to be licenced in accordance with the Dog and Animal Care By-law. The By-law is applicable to both permanent and seasonal residents. Licence(s) must be purchased before March 31st each year.

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to notify businesses and community organizations that advertising space is available in the arena of the Beaver Valley Community Centre. Advertising within the arena is a great opportunity to reach over 500 people per week!

Rink Boards: $300 per season

Wall Boards: $250 per season

In addition, public skating sponsorship opportunities are also available. Sponsors will receive on-site recognition and promotion on the Town website and social media accounts.

Public Skating Sponsorship: $113 (Two Hour Session)

The Town of The Blue Mountains is pleased to announce the launch of the new Community Guide.

The Community Guide provides important information about Town departments, services, facilities, resources, programs and general business.

Hardcopies of the guide will be available at Town Hall, L.E. Shore Memorial Library, Craigleith Heritage Depot and the Beaver Valley Community Centre. Guides have also been distributed to many local businesses and community organizations throughout the Town.

The Town of The Blue Mountains Coucil is pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for the 2019 Grants and Donations Program.  We welcome not-for-profit organizations and Business Associations servicing The Blue Mountains to request funding or subsidization of Town-owned facility space through this process.  The deadline for applications is Friday, January 11, 2019.  Applications will be considered by the Town's Committee of the Whole in early 2019.

The Town has received an Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendment applications. The Town has deemed the applications to be complete however no public meeting has been scheduled to-date.

The purpose of these applications is to consider a development proposal for a proposed waterski wakeboard cable park and associated buildings and structures.
