One of the most famous and widely produced plays in Canadian theatre, it dramatizes the life of Owen Sound war hero and Canadian World War I fighter pilot Billy Bishop. The Lemon Bucket Orkestra is Canada's only balkan-klezmer-gypsy-party-punk-super-band. Born on the streets of Toronto as a busking band in 2010, the original quartet of guerrilla-folk troubadours quickly amassed a battalion of troops armed with brass and bows and started touring the world. Born in Montreal in 1925 in the working-class neighbourhood of Little Burgundy, Oscar Peterson became one of the most important pianists in the entire history of jazz. As accompanist to the greatest jazz vocalists of all time, including Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday, and as recording artist for the famous Verve Records label, recognition of his talent quickly spread far beyond his hometown. The Rémi Bolduc Jazz Ensemble pays tribute to Canada’s very own Oscar Peterson! Presented by Meaford Hall.   More Info
