Giant Blue Pumpkin Project Looking for Volunteers

27/07/17
Want to help grow the world's largest Giant Blue Pumpkin?

Lionel Boutet is an expert on growing Giant Pumpkins. While his experience was always with the orange varieties, he came up with the idea to celebrate The Blue Mountains by creating the world's first Giant Blue Pumpkin.

If you've seen the large pumpkins at Thornbury Foodland, or the blue (green-ish blue) smaller variety at Town Hall, you'll know what we mean.

Learn about cross-breeding, growing tips to get the biggest giants, and the claim to fame of having helped create one of the world's first Giant Blue Pumpkins!

Volunteers are needed primarily for gardening work. Whether you have an hour to help or an hour a week, Lionel would like to her from you.
