Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry at Thornbury Dam March 29th

MNRF is overseeing a study of rainbow trout to determine the effectiveness of the Thornbury Dam passage.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) will be doing today in the river from the Thornbury dam to the mouth of Georgian Bay.

Bio-Tactic (under a MNRF Licence to Collect) implanting radio transmitters on 30 rainbow trout as part of a study to determine the effectiveness of Thornbury dam passage. MNRF staff will be present and assisting the work during this collection.

MNRF staff will be specifically involved with collection/ processing and unable to engage the public. Craig Todd will be there as the partnership/ media contact.
