OPP Partners with Canadian Safe Boating to launch Safe Boating Week: PLEASE be safe on our waterways

Last year (2016), 16 vessel operators and seven (7) passengers were killed in 19 boating incidents on OPP-patrolled waterways. Nine (9) of the incidents involved a capsized vessel. Six (6) victims fell overboard. Alcohol consumption was a factor in six (6) occurrences.

Blue Mountain Pottery is not the only pottery that our area is known for; discover the rich heritage of pottery making at the library. The Blue Mountains Public Library’s two branches, the Craigleith Heritage Depot and the L.E. Shore Memorial Library, are running programmes and exhibits all month.
