M.A.P. - Municipal Art Program
The Municipal Art Program is an initiative by the Town of The Blue Mountains. Inaugurated in 2012, the program is designed to provide a showcase for the works of artists in the region while enhancing the environment of the Town Hall for employees and visitors. All works are on loan from the artists for a period of one year.
If you wish to inquire about purchasing one of these works, please contact the artist directly. Information on each artist is available in the attached brochure which includes beautiful colour photographs of each work. A printed version of the guide is available in the Atrium of the Town Hall.
2017 Artists' Call for Submissions - Deadline February 28, 2017
The Public Art Committee (PAC), on behalf of the Municipal Art Program (MAP) initiated by the Town of The Blue Mountains, is announcing its annual CALL FOR ARTISTS’ SUBMISSIONS for the 2017-18 exhibition. Regional visual artists are encouraged to apply for this, the 6th annual juried art exhibition. All art must be wall mountable. Selected art will be on exhibit with Town Hall for a period of 12 months. In the event of a piece being sold while on exhibit, the committee will co-ordinate with the artist to provide a juried selection to replace the sold piece.
